I've always loved the idea of having open bookshelves in the kitchen. My current kitchen has standard apartment-style white cabinets and no room to install additional open shelvings, but oh, to dream of such a luxury. Whether filled with lovely bowls and serveware, piled high with books, or tucked neatly next to the stove, kitchen bookshelves have my heart.
